Kindle Book Deals (Known Authors ONLY!)
Just wondering if we could set up a thread tracking good prices from established authors (no free public domain books either, please). I'm tired of all the other forums because it consists nearly entirely of people trying to promote their own books. Here are a couple deals I've found recently:

"Handmaid's Tale" - Margaret Atwood. $3.95 (usually $14.95):

Also, stories from Joe Hill's collection "20th Century Ghosts" have been broken up and are now available for $.99 each. Has anyone read these? If so, can someone recommend the best (and longest) of the bunch?

If you follow Amazon's Kindle Top Sellers feed, you probably already know that Christopher Reich's "Rules of Deception" is only $.79. I bought this last week and am halfway through it, and think it's a pretty good read. Definitely worth the ridiculously low price.

"Blindness" by Jose Saramago for $5.91. I've been tracking this book for a couple weeks. Started at $9.99. Has been dropping $.50 every few days. I finally pulled the trigger but if anyone wants to wait it out, it may drop more.

Stupid question:

If you pre-order the book,. when it gets released on the 5th will you be charged Anything? It just seems odd they would give a book away for free.

You do not get charged as long as you lock in the price now. Amazon has had quite a few decent books go for free in the past couple months. It's a way of generating interest in authors so that you'll purchase their other books.

Maybe it's me but I can't seem to maneuver around this site easily enough for it to come up with all the good deals out there. It seems to always list lots of the same books, even though many price changes are happening on Amazon.
