I just finished:

I found it to be enormously readable and I loved the characters - but I found the ending to be extremely frustrating and unsatisfying. Still, I really enjoyed his style and will read some more of his books in the future.

Just finished The Rose and the Briar, a collection of essays (and one cartoon and a collage) about American folk ballads. Interesting stuff.
Also been finishing up Will Durant's Story of Civilization, Vol. II (finally), and sneaking occasional peeks at a book of Gerard Manley Hopkins's poems and a great little book called Dueling in the Old South, which contains some hilarious anecdotes.

I just finished it. There were a lot of things that I didn't catch when I read it 20 years ago.
