Question about Ken Bruen

I just read "London Boulevard" and LOVED it! Especially the writing style. It's the first Ken Bruen book I have ever read. Are his other books written in that style? And a quick read? I couldn't put "Boulevard" down and read it in 4 hours. Well, over 2 days.

I haven't read that particular book, but all of the Bruen titles I've read -- mostly in the Jack Taylor and Brant series -- are written in pretty much the same style. Good stuff.

Regrettably, I didn't know of Bruen or his work until recently. Read on firstshowing.net that William Mohan, Academy Award winning screen writer of "The Departed", is screen writing and directing "London Boulevard". Since I like Mohan's work, I bought the book. It's OOP, so I had to get it used from Amazon.com. And I highly highly recommend it. I'm sure once the movie is out they'll re-release it. Link on the movie below. Has any other Bruen books been made into any films or T.V. series?

Not that I'm aware of.

Where do I start with the Jack Taylor and Brant series? Can you tell me what order they were released?

I'm wrapping up my Inspector Brant series. Just finished "Calibre" and will be checking out "Ammunition" next. I've loved every single book. Will these series continue? I still think "London Boulevard" is my favorite of his so far. I hope they don't fuck up the movie.

O.K., I realize I'm just having a conversation with myself here at this point But I just wanted to say (if anyone is listening), that I'm 100 pages into "American Skin" and I'm not loving it. I don't think Bruen's writing style in it is anything like that of the Brant series. Or "London Boulevard". At least I don't find it interesting or entertaining.
