I just used this week's 30% off Borders coupon on the new Elliott Smith photo/interview book by Autumn deWilde. It's well-designed, with lots of previously unpublished photos and interviews with musicians who were either influenced by his music or knew him personally. Initially, I thought it might be exploitive, like the Kurt Cobain journals, but it's very respectful. It's a nice little remembrance of an unassuming guy and brilliant songwriter.

I haven't listened to the live EP that was packaged with it yet. It was recorded at Club Largo in L.A., but I'm not sure when.

I just picked this up the other day. It is a beautiful book and the CD is decent as well.
