It seems a little strange to critique a book you haven't read. Although it certainly is a time-saver. 
I haven't read enough of King's books to give a Top 5... But I did enjoy Duma Key quite a bit. King has a gift for language that nearly always makes his work pleasurable to read.
As for why he still writes... He's a writer. That's what writers do.

remember that I never offically "critiqued" this book. I only said that there are so many great books by Stephen King, and I just can't imagine this one dethroning any of his classics.
Touche, misseur. Guess you're right about that.
Writing keeps him out of trouble. He let's his characters act out his sick and twisted fantasizies.

Not trying to start an argument... But you said, "it would probably rank in the bottom 5." That's what I was responding to.
