Huh? Are you saying that he had enough money that he didn't have to worry about writing direct statements? Because that's not what the phrase "rich and irrelevant" means.

OK, I'm trying to get caught up here... I'm a big fan of Kurt's and have read most of his books, I'm a conservative who does not think he is a liberal hack, I am not offended by the orbit, I did not even hear about him in high school even though I took honors english lit classes, and I think he was great without being one of "the Greats".
Now who am I suposed to be mad at in this thread?
