Anyone have annual reads?

I just stared LOMBARDI AND ME, this year's Packers book. I've been reading a Packers history or biography book each fall for years. Gets me in the spirit for football.

I used to read PRINCESS OF MARS at the beginning of each year, but gave it up when I realized I haven't read the full series in a very long time.

Anyone else read the same book or same type of book each year?

Not quite what you asked, but I used to work with a guy (now retired) who said that he read many of the Enid Blyton juveniles every summer.

Every year at the beginning of Lent I read C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters.

Not really, but there a few books I've read more than once.

I think Neuromancer holds the record at eight times.

I read The Legend of Sleepy Hollow a couple years in a row, but didn't get around to it last year.

I try to get in Tailchaser's Song on a regular basis. I have so many books, and so many that I've never read, I can't go back as often as I like.

I read Stephen King's It once a year for 7 or 8 years in a row. It is still my favorite book, but it's probably been about 4 years since the last time I got around to reading It.

I usually read at least one book on Watergate every summer. Also, Democracies by Arend Lijphart, Down's An Economic Theory of Democracy and (inexplicably), Stephen King's The Stand.

Every Christmas season I read Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris.

It's got a different cover now, but this is the one I have (which I like a tad bit better).

Every 5 years I re-read the entire (21 book) Travis McGee series by John D. McDonald. It seems to help me get through the trials and tribulations of life, in fact, it seems to concide with all of my birthdays that end in 5 or 0. That would mean it's about time to re-read them for my 40th.
