what a depressing book. without mentioning all the lovely details of the meatpacking industry in the early 20th century, life for immigrants back then was horrible.

Richard Zachs is one of my favorite authors so I figure this is going to be pretty good.

It is a cool cover though, probably one of the better Leisure covers I've seen recently.It was a rainy weekend, and I decided to finally start reading a novel. (I checked, and it was more like 10 months since I read one.)
I chose Magic Time from my big stack, and so far, it's VERY interesting.
Oh, crap! I was just researching on Amazon for the next book in the series (Magic Time: Angelfire) , and it appears to be OOP! The cheapest paperback copy is $47.00! I would hate to be left hanging after this one!
*edit* Oh, the local libraries seem to have it!
