Reading Memoirs Of A Geisha again before it hits theatres later this month.
SYNOPSIS
An epic on an intimate scale, Memoirs of a Geisha takes the reader behind the rice-paper screens of the geisha house to a vanished floating world of beauty and cruelty, from a poor fishing village in 1929 to the decadence of 1940s Kyoto, through the chaos of World War II to the towers of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, where the gray-eyed geisha Sayuri unfolds the remarkable story of her life.

picked this up from the library last week
it's about how there were over 100 million Indians/Native Americans in North and South America and how the Europeans killed 90% of them with disease, then came civil war and then the rest of the Europeans came in to colonize The New World and mop up the rest of the natives.

At the moment I am reading The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, and I am going to start The Stephen King Universe: A Guide to the Worlds of the King of Horror by Stanley Wiater, Christopher Golden, and Hank Wagner.

About a 120 pages into
So far this book is fantastic, and if it keeps it up will surely become one of my favorite books of all time. The book is a re-imaging of Superman set in the 30's. It's has such a rich feel to it and De Haven has a great way with prose. Just a fantastic read.
