I'm currently reading the first, "Abarat" book, by Clive Barker. It's an excellent read.

This is Book 4 of the Rook series, although I haven't read the first 3 yet.

That Superman book looks interesting, I'm going to look for it.

I picked this up after I read that Peter Jackson's next film was to be based on it. Wonderful story... I admit that it brought some tears to my eyes I few times throughout the story.

Wow..quite a few people reading some of the same books. Kind of cool. I'll have to find my Narnia books, as the movie has gotten me interested in them again.

Right now I'm reading Warlock in Spite of Himself by Christopher Stasheff. Kind of weird so far. I'm about halfway through the book at the moment, and I'm not entirely sure if I like it or not.

Just finished Harry Potter 5. Working my way through HP #6.

Then off to:
Getting back into Running with Scissors (I got 1/3 through this, but put it down to read all the HP books)
A Feast for Crows by George R R Martin (first, I have to read those summaries online to catch myself back up on the 1st three books)
The Narnia books (I got the complete set at BJs for $15 the other day. I don't remember reading them as a kid (not sure if I did or not), but I'd like to read them before I see the movie on DVD).

and "Das Parfum" (the parfume) from Patrick Süskind

and after that I will read "Der Schatten des Windes" (shadow of the wind)from Carlos Ruiz Zafon

Last night I finished the Mackendrick book I posted on the first page. I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone interested in the nuts and bolts of filmmaking. The chapter contrasting the differences between Ernest Lehman's and Clifford Odets' drafts of a scene from Sweet Smell of Success is especially fascinating.

Currently reading "Lullaby" by Chuck Palahniuk. I'm on a Palahniuk kick - I recently read "Diary" and "Survivor." "Diary" was only okay, but "Survivor" was a hoot.
