Dresden Files Greenlit by Sci-Fi

Not sure if this is the right forum, but Jim Butcher's fantasy series "The Dresden Files" has been green lit for the Sci-Fi Channel, with Nic Cage producing.

Read about it. http://www.thefutoncritic.com/cgi/pr...0051011scifi01

Bumping the year-old thread, as I just found out about this series when I saw the commercial during Battlestar Galactica tonight.

What's the word on this series? Are they going to try and adapt the books, or are they just going to write new stories for the characters? I'm hoping it's the latter, as there's no way they can adapt the books unless it's 4 episode story arcs (or more if the show is only 30 minutes).
