Finished re-reading A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin
Now re-reading A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin
My copy of A Feast for Crows will hopefully arrive this week and I hope to finish "Swords" before it gets here.

Just picked up The Devil of Nanking, then after that it will be The Autobiography of a Geisha and then followed up with a re-read of Goblet of Fire in time for the movie...

Scarecrow - what'd you think of Grift Sense? I read it about 6 months ago, enjoyed it quite a bit, and eventually exhausted the entire Valentine series thus far.

Published back in the early 1960s, I am just concluding a re-read of Lloyd Biggle Jr's "All the Colours of Darkness".... with Tad Williams' slightly more current "Sea of Silver Light", (Otherland, Book 4) to follow.

I just finished an Arc of Berserk by Tim Lebbon which is due from Leisure in Jan. Man this book is one of hell of a ride. It's also cool to see Leisure doing some nice freaky covers for their horror line now.

About 200 pages into:
I loved Powers' older books (like "Anubis Gates" and "On Stranger Tides") but his last two ("Earthquake Weather" and "Expiration Date") left me so cold I stayed away from him. So far, it seems that "Declare" is a welcome return to form.

CreatureX - that book looks sick! Gonna have to pick it up...thanks for the heads up!
Reading something in the same vein - "On The Run: A Mafia Childhood" by Gregg and Gina Hill (kids of infamous 'Goodfellas' gangsta Henry Hill)
and up next is "Shadow Divers" - true story of the sunken WW2 sub found....

Berserk as I said is one hell of a ride. It's creepy, gorey, well paced, and has some great characters. You can find a synopsis and an excerpt at Tim's website. http://timlebbon.net/
