Who the heck is Avengelyne?

I see these all the time on ebay for cheap but I don't see her around in any new comics at the comic book store. Is this character worth picking up?

I got two words for ya: ROB LIEFIELD which most comics fans know equals TOTAL CRAP.

There was even an Avenglyne model - I picked up a few of the books back during the 'Bad Girl' craze and I don't remember any of them being notable. I'm not sure if Leifield just created the character or actually did the inside art.

Actually, Liefeld based the character design on her...it was his wife. She did lots of promo appearances and what-not in the whole getup. Just goes to show you---just draw exaggerated, asymmetrical characters with absolutely no concept of realistic anatomy and you'll get all the hot chicks.

Doesn't she play Kate on "Lost?"

The name of the Avengelyne model was Cathy Christian who is not Liefeld's wife.
Cathy Christian

His wife's name is Joy and she's done some acting.
IMDB: Joy Creel

No picture of her there BUT she has 2 sisters, Leanna and Monica, and they're triplets. There are photos of Monica at IMDB.
IMDB: Monica Creel

The third sister, Leanna, played Tori on "Saved by the Bell"
IMDB: Leanna Creel

And yes, I have no life.
