Just got email confirmation that the library is ordering the book. Our library is part of the Fort Vancouver Regional library (that is who I contacted), so hopefully they will order several.

You deserve this, Dan. Great work on this book, and I hope the next one is even better received!

Congrats, man.

Looks like a friend of mine was nominated last year.

Hope you win.

Oh, and what did they wear if they went? We're thinking of going and all Jan can seem to think of is "oh my god what should I wear?"

As if it's going to be anything more than folks sitting at tables waiting to hear who actually wins.....

No surprise, it was in the Mystery/Suspense category.

Libby Fischer Hellmann's A Picture of Guilt. Doesn't look like she won, though. Too bad -- it was a good book.

I don't know if she went to the ceremony. I would guess not. If she had, though, I assume she would have been elegantly-clad.

Brand new web page from today:

http://www.pma-online.org/benfrank2005_finalist.cfm

And here's the pertinent info on the category I've talked about:

Juvenile-Young Adult Fiction
Aidan of Oren, Moo Press, Inc.
The Blacksmith's Gift, Second Star Creations
Lady's Big Surprise, F.T. Richards Publishing, Tailwinds Press

Now to go check out the competition!!!! (I just found this page myself.)

Seeker steps up to the podium to accept his reward . . . then he realizes that he forgot to put on his pants! Aaaaah!

Good luck!

I think Seeker should wear his superhero costume, mask and all.

As far as I know the award ceremony is not until June. Seeker can email me at that time and I'll re-open this thread.
