"This Boy's Life" by Tobias Wolff
How was his memoir received by the people contained within the book itself? Has anyone ever spoken out about Wolff's characterization of them, like his friend Arthur Gayle, or his stepfather, Dwight?
Are the names real? Is an author writing about his life allowed to drag people in his life through the mud if he so desires?
