America (The Book) - Daily Show, Jon Stewart

Anyone else going to pick up The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents America (The Book) : A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction? I think a parody of civics text books sounds pretty funny and these guys will likely do a good job. Stewart's last book (Naked Pictures of Famous People) was hilarious. I'm looking forward to this one.

I've had it preordered for a couple of weeks. The audio book up at audible.com is hilarious.

Listened to the audiobook three times already. The regular book version is a must buy for me.

I picked this up today and thumbed through it a bit when I got home. Some verrrrry funny stuff. Even the table of contents is hilarious! I hope that this won't be the final book from the Daily Show crew.

Anyone know the B&M prices for this? Just wondering if I should order it online or go with instant gratification.

I went to Barnes & Noble and it was 20% off. So, $19.96 plus tax. I didn't check anywhere else and ended up ordering it from Amazon.

I ordered it from Overstock.com for $14.49. That's the best deal I've seen online.

$14 and change at costco. Standing in the long lines waiting to pay and read a few pages. Very funny.

I ordered from Overstock as well.

After thumbing through a copy at Hastings, I knew I had to get it.(Although not from there; they wanted $24.95 for it.) Just the back of the book is hilarious...

Man, I can hardly stand the show anymore...but maybe in book form it'd be funnier. I might scan through and see if it's worthwhile. If it's Republican slamming like usual, I think I'll pass.

Its political slamming as usual. Kerry and the democrats take as much crap as Bush and the republicans. The show is pretty much the same. They have always been equal opportunity insulters. The Republicans have been on top for four years though so they are going to be the bigger targets. Not to mention every time our president opens his mouth his comments beg to be part of a punchline.

at least you can admit it.

I still can enjoy most of the headlines, and I always love the correspondents, but the bias in Jon leaps out during interviews.

I'm goign to go check out this book this weekend, if B & N has it for a reasonable price I'll probably buy it.

Totally, but funny is funny.

I finally picked this up today. It's $16.21 at Media Play this week, so I price matched at Best Buy (gotta get those Reward Zone points). That's around the same price as Overstock.com (w/ shippng), plus I get the instant gratification. Just flipping through it, it looks pretty funny.

I picked it up, I've been sort of reading slowly, I don't have that much free time. I'm through about 100 pages, and it's hilarious.

About halfway through it, finally bought it, love it so far. Keep having flashbacks to my high school history class when I was younger and thought history was boring (now I'm older and quite like history, which in a way makes this book even funnier than I can get the William McKinley and Salmon Chase jokes).
