I try to read most of Ayn Rand's fiction once every couple years. And I re-read Palahniuk all the time....
|
I just started re-reading R.A. Salvatore's Dark Elf series. I'd been meaning to do it for a while, as it's been over 10 years since I read the first few, which makes it a little harder to get as in to the new ones.

Yeah, if it's a fantastic read, I will make time for it a few times at least.

I re-read a lot of the fantasy series... for enjoyment and to get reaquainted with everything before the next book in the series comes out.
Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time Series (requires multiple re-reads because it's so convoluted)... started out fantastic but the last few are really dragging... the last one was 700 pages of NOTHING David Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean (great series) George R. R. Martin's 'A Song of Fire and Ice' (looking forward to the next book in the series) Terry Brooks' Shannara Books And of course Tolkien But the Best of the Best is Robin Hobb's Farseer Trilogy and Tawny Man Trilogy... |
when i was younger and bored i would
but not anymore, since i got $$$$$$$ |
Originally posted by littlefuzzy I re-read series when the next book comes out... Some of the longer series, like Piers Anthony's Xanth, Robert Asprin's Myth books, etc., I have read 15-20 times. I do reread a lot of books, but thats only because my memory is for sh!t and I can never remember what happened in a book - only if I've enjoyed it or not. So I end up revisiting a lot of books but it's almost like reading them for the first time. |
I've read some of the Star Wars books over (Darksaber, for example) and then I've read Jurassic Park.
Those are the only examples I can think of. |
The only book that I have ever read more than once, about 3 or 4 time now and am thinking about rereading again, is Shane Stevens' By Reason of Insanity. I would love to go back and reread LOTR but I just don't see that happening with that amount of free time on my hands and the length of the story.
