Why Aren't You Reading THE LOSERS? (Vertigo title)

I just posted my third "Why Aren't You Reading..." column over at paperbackreader. This time I detailed how much fun THE LOSERS is. This book really does have tons of action and excitement. I'm surprised it took me this long to find it. It's a great read.

Check out my column here.

Just found this contest. If you've never read THE LOSERS, you can do it for free....if you win.
Check it out.

Been preaching to everyone here, & everywhere to read the Losers since issue #1 came out.

One of the best books out there. Issue #9 & 10 have been the best issues so far.

Here is the review I did for issue #9 a couple of months ago at Broken Frontier. . .

As usual, a great piece JP.

Sessa, you are the man. Seriously. You've pointed me in the direction of so many good titles. I owe all of my comic enjoyment to you (or at least most of it).

Isn't Andy Diggle also writing the new "Swamp Thing" series? Has it started, yet?

I'd love to see a good monthly "Swamp Thing" title again. DC/Vertigo hasn't produced a worthwhile one in years.

As for "The Losers", I picked up the first trade and really liked it. The rest of the back issues and the latest release should be arriving at my door anyday now. (A whole month without a single new comic. I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do.)

Finished the trade last week and it was good - will look forward to the next trade.

We need more action/espionage comics like this and Queen & Country. I know there's Kiss Kiss Bang Bang but is it any good? Will the company last long enough to put out a trade?

KKBB is a tongue-in-cheek spy-comic, with almost an anti-hero in the 'Bond' role. While I enjoyed the first two issues, its nothing compared to Losers and Queen & Country. You might wanna give the first issue a try, to see if its your taste.

I love KKBB, it has great art, humor and kick ass introductions. But from what I've read, I wouldn't be suprised if it doesn't survive past the first arch.

I've stopped buying new titles because most new books are about $3 a pop. I usually wait for trade paperbacks to check out new titles.

SpacemanSpiff, the 2nd issue (the start to the first substantial arc) is where the fun really begins. Check out the trade for $10. Seriously.

I'm also at the point where I mainly buy just the trades. Besides the co$t issue, I usually only read comics if I can read the entire story arc in one sitting.
