bible question
First of, I'm not religious but I was wondering if any of you could help me.
At the begunning of the tv series millienium, there would often be a quote from the bible, and generally it would be abit portenous. I would like to know which one of the bibles, the more down beat quotes would come from.
I hope I've explained myself well and I haven't offended anyone.

"Downbeat quotes?"
I've never watched the show, but I can guess from the title that most are probably from the prophetic books. Revelation, Isaiah, and Daniel would probably be good places to start. Job has quite a few "downbeat quotes" in it, and is an interesting read regardless of your religious nature (I'm not religious, either).
