Moneyball
This book is on the Best Seller list in Amazon's Business section, yet I can't find any threads on it.
I've been a big fan of Michael Lewis since I was forced to read Liar's Poker in undergrad. I then read his followup, Money Culture but it was nowhere as good as Liar's Poker.
Anyway, I'm about 2/3 through Moneyball, and it's a pretty good book. I read the first 2/3's on a flight from Chicago to Denver, and I think it's going to be a while before I finish it.
What are your thought on this book?

From: Work. Or commuting. Certainly not at home.
I read it while I was flying back and forth to Miami over Thanksgiving.
It's a great book, especially since I'm a geek for the inner workings of sports teams. Billy Beane seems to be more than a bit full of himself, but in that business, most everyone is.
Especially loved the chapter about the 2002 draft -- but again, it's because I'm a geek for things like that.

I thought it was terrific. The prose was quick and Lewis did a surprisingly good job with the sabermetric side.

I'm currently reading this and think its great. I'm also partial since i'm an A's fan and remember the players they talk about (the ones that were traded away)
