Good fiction books?

I just started reading for fun in my spare time. I havn't bought a book in years, i just bought mystic river and i'm enjoying it a lot. I'm almost done and i want to read some more like it. What are some great books to read, new or old that has twist and turns? Names a couple, thanks

I suggest you go to your local library. Most libraries have shelves of staff recommendations.

For some nice twists and turns. Try Neil Gaiman. A very good dark fiction writer. Very relevant to todays film style.

There are many types of fiction out there. The most popular in this forum is probably mystery (there is a thread devoted to it around here somewhere).

Oh, and welcome to the club!
