I and my wife loved the new Diane Lane movie "UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN", but what is the book like?
Is it as good? Is it different from the movie?
Any feedback and comments would be welcome. Thanks.

So long as you're comfortable with the fact that it's nothing like the movie...
In the book, Mayes is a middle-aged, secure-in-her-relationship writer who buys a Tuscann manor. No Harlequin-lite love story, no too-hip-to-be-true best friend, no Diane Lane...
It's a quiet, almost meditative appreciation of time, food, art, architecture, friends, life, etc. In other words, nothing like the movie.
Aside from that, though, you might like it...
