You lucky bastard!

Other than comics and graphic novels, I don't have many signed books. Only "If Chins Could Kill" by Bruce Campbell and "Stardust" (the hardcover non-comic version) by Neil Gaiman.

I'm off to a John Sandford reading tonight, so I hope to add Shadow Prey and Naked Prey to my list.

I just stood in line for a couple of hours to have Jim Davis sign his new Garfield 25th birthday book, In Dog Years I'd Be Dead. I got a small chance to talk with him, and he definately was excited about the upcoming movie.

I have the first three "Vampire Chronicles" signed by Anne Rice. It's the Knopf hard cover boxed set that was put out in 1990.

And the creme de la creme: ICE T's "The Ice Opinion". A true centerpiece of any collection.

Yes, I'm serious.

I just got "Isle Witch" and "Sometimes the Magic Works" signed by Terry Brooks a couple of months ago at the LA Times Festival of Books. He is a really nice guy... really down to earth.

I don't have too many.

An NYPD Blue book (I believe it's titled True Blue) from around 1995 personalized by the cast of the 3rd season.
Forrest Gump
Sandman: Brief Lives (signed by Gaiman and Dave McKean)
Sandman: The Dream Hunters (signed by Yoshitaka Amano, who also added a little sketch)

A bunch of comics.

I probably have a few more that I can't remember, given that I worked at a bookstore a few years back, and probably collected a few signed books during my tenure there.

I have Jackie Chan's autobiography "I AM Jackie Chan" signed by Jackie.
Me three! I waited with a bunch of Jackie fans at a Wal-Mart of all places for over 2 hours to get 3 copies signed (for 2 other friends of mine). I got to shake Jackie's left hand (he didn't want to keep switching hands as he was signing so many books at the time to slow up the line).

I think I also have a novel/collection signed by Harlan Ellison, but I could be wrong (maybe I was getting it signed for another friend's copy instead).

Mindhunter by John Douglas
Whoever Fights Monsters and I Have Lived in the Monster by Robert K. Ressler
