Suggestions for a new reader that likes...

...Chuck Pahlaniak (SP?) and Hunter S. Thompson. Any suggestions for a noobie reader that enjoys CP's books ( i have read them all). I also like Hunter S. Thompson's writings (loved rum diary, fear and loathing in LV, Hells Angels, The Great Shark Hunt).

Im looking to read from different authors that write in sort of the same style or a combination of the two...if there are any. Thanks for your help.

Douglas Coupland. Start with "Girlfriend in a Coma"

Try David Gates. I'd especially recommend "Jernigan".
