Good Business Publication?
I'm getting closer to the time where I will have to enter "the real world", and I figure it couldn't hurt to know more about what I'm getting into. I have wanted to subscribe to a business magazine for a while, but I just don't know what would be the best investment. They all are very expensive subscriptions, so if I could get one magazine to fullfill my needs, that would be a plus. What are my needs? Economic news. I have already been recommended The Wallstreet Journal, but I have also read a few articles from The Economist which I have enjoyed. Anyone have any suggestions of other publications to look at before making a decision on one? Any personal experiences with these publications?

The Economist prides itself on being an "opinionated" publication with a particular free-market slant: I found that sometimes its articles lost touch with reality as a result of applying this philosophy to the nth degree.
That acount still remains pretty non-specific, I realise, but we are talking about years ago. In fact, I let the subscription lapse twice having once before relented and given it a second chance....
.... as it happens, currently I am thinking of giving it a third chance! The informed and often common-sense approach was what appealed and the occasional "grating" article I can probably overlook. Or maybe we can both make do with the online version I've linked to above!

I read Business 2.0 and Entrepreneur on my own subscription, and read WSJ, Barron's (mostly because I have an ad in there that runs every week), and Fortune as well as some industry specific magazines at work. Business 2.0 is probably my favorite for a business/technology magazine.
