They are really pushing this thing ... Rowling has been all over the news "crying" about what she wrote. Like they really need to advertise this plot turn to sell more books ... or is it to prepare readers (or parents) ... hmmm.

Does anyone know if there are any reviews of the book yet?

We don't have guards standing around watching the boxes if that's what you mean. They're just sitting in the back room, one enormous stack of boxes. And no i haven't read it yet. Usually we are allowed to check out hardcover books and take them home, but of course they aren't allowing that with this one. Not yet. When book 4 came out we could check them out before the strict on sale date but that one didn't quite have the anticipation this one does.

Can you spend your break/lunch times beside them boxes...reading perhaps?

Review copies are not being sent out until the Friday evening. I wish we could have pursuaded Bloomsbury to send us a review copy :)

Someone told me that a New York paper printed an excerpt of the book today, claiming they found it available at some store. Is this legit? I can't imagine the paper thinking they wouldn't get into trouble ....

Never mind ... I just confirmed it myself. Only a $100 million lawsuit.

Anyone see the funny story on CNN this morning about the book? They had some woman on there going on about how, since it was a 900 page book, even if it showed up on the Internet today, since it was so long it would take you until the release day to finish downloading it anyway.

Someone needs to explain to her how small a book data file is...
