Ender's Game and Starship Troopers?
I'm almost through reading "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card and I can't help but see certain similarities to the movie Starship Troopers; humans fighting bugs in space and kids doing the fighting. Of course there is more to the book than than that but is there any direct corelation between the two?

Read Heinlein's book and you will see even more similarities. Another series of books to check out in this vein would be the War Against the Chtorr novels by David Gerrold.

If you like this theme, I'd also recommend checking out "The Forever War".
There's no direct correlation between the three, but they all take place in very similar universes. If you really like one, you should do yourself a favor and read the other three.
Also, I assume you'll be reading the other novels in the Ender series. Keep in mind the second book (Speaker for the Dead) is very good -- but nothing like Ender's Game. After that it falls off a cliff. Ender's Shadow is worth a read, though it does take Ender down a notch or two, which I don't like. Again, this series goes downhill very quickly.

I agree with you on Ender's Shadow... I was a little disappointed as to how Bean becomes the hero and casts his shadow (pun not intended) across Ender and the rest of the story we "knew". I was very engrossed in that book, particularly the pre Battle School portions, but after that I was a little let down. I mean, who's really the Xenocide here?
