Well, I read The Cellar over the weekend and I enjoyed it. While The Midnight Tour was scarier IMO, The Cellar filled in some gaps for me.

Finished The Stake a couple of hours ago. I can't get over how good this book was. Just an amazing read. I turned the pages so fast, I left burn marks. An absolute must for Laymon fans and horror fans alike.

I just can't get enough of his books. I picked up the Traveling Vampire show and finished it in one day. I did the same with Island, Night in the Lonesome October, Darkness, Tell Us, and One Rainy Night. Oh well atleast I still have Bith and Among The Missing to hold me over before another run to the bookstore.

I just finished Night Show in 2 1/2 hours. Not bad. Not one of his best, but still had some good stuff. After just having finished The Stake, I think anything would have paled in comparison.

Finished In the Dark last night. I thought it was just ok - definitely Grade B Laymon, IMO.
I'm all out of Laymon books for now. I'll have to pick up some more soon!

Finished Triage today. Richard's story was very cool. Read all 100 pages in an hour. Ed Lee's story was also good. Great ending. Ketchum's story was funny.

I have to add a "me too" here. I'd never heard of Richard Laymon before I saw this thread a few weeks ago. I went to the local library website and put "The Travelling Vampire Show" on my hold list. I picked it up a few days, and WOW! Great story, very fast read.
Like a few others on this thread, it won't be the last time I pick up one of Laymon's books.

Have any of y'all read Bentley Little? His writing style seems very similar to Laymon's. I'm reading University right now and some of the deaths in this book are very Lamonesque.

I haven't read The Walking yet, although I do own it. Check out University. There is some sick **** going on in that book.
Sick **** is good! I'll check it out. Thanks.

You can't go wrong with any of Bentley Little's books. My favorites are The Ignored and The Store.
He has a new one coming out in September called The Policy.

I was in a used book store the other day and was amazed to find a 1st edition of "Tread Softly" for 1/2 the cover price. Can't wait to read it.

Just finished No Sanctuary, one of his last books.
Very raw, unflinching last few chapters. Classic Laymon build-up and free-for-all conclusion. Another winner.

Hey guys...anyone read any more Laymon titles recently? This week, I started in on To Wake the Dead (aka Amara). I'm only 100 pages in thus far, but it's off to a solid start.
Also, I was checking out "Richard Laymon Kills!" and here's the line-up for 2004:
