James Bond novels - Fleming & Gardner books out of print...
So I've been waiting for the Bond collection to come back in print so I can complete my collection in Hardcover.
I saw something at a Borders about them coming back in print as "trade paperbacks," but I really want them in hardcover. I've got all of the Gardner books, and a handful of Fleming novels. Does anyone have any idea if these will be back in print in hardcover anytime soon, or am I relegated to searching in the used bookstores? |
Mostly used hardcovers @ <A HREF="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/series/-/24/hardcover/ref=b/104-6363171-7039962" target="_blank">Amazon.com</a>
Or import them new from <A HREF="http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/sim-explorer/explore-items/-/0670910406/0/026-9619546-8732426" target="_blank">Amazon.co.uk</a> (the default is to show the softback for each title but just look for the hardcover link). |
I'm just surprised that Glidrose hasn't gotten these back in print in the U.S. with the Bond movie franchise back in high gear since 1995.
If I was running Glidrose I'd have made sure the books were back in print prior to one of the Bond movie releases - probably 2 or 3 months prior to Tomorrow Never Dies. I'll check out those links.... |
I loved the design of the old Signet paperbacks with those great tiny paintings - "Moonraker" with the girl holding the gun at you as a space capsule is taking off in the background. "Diamonds Are Forever" with its hot pink cover showing a cheap blonde in her lingerie sitting in front of her vanity. Great stuff.

I have a full set of those old Signets. A used bookstore sold them to me for half of cover price. $1.80 for the complete James Bond? Sure. ;)
