dedicated or not dedicated?

just curious what people perfer when you get a book signed. personally it depends for me. my david sedaris and rick bragg books are all personally dedicated to me and they're all different and hilarious. but i also prefer non-dedicated ones so that one day i could pass them down to my kids (when i get 'em). if it's fun and memorable then i love a dedication but there's something forced about my dedicated linda greenlaw book. cheers!
