who picked up summerland yesterday? i was going to but think i'll wait till/if it hits the bestseller lists. between new fall releases and dvds i'm completely broke

also wanted to grab franzen's latest but oh well....

The new Chabon book is more of a children's book...or at least a young-reader novel. I'll most likely skip it because of that, and the fact that there are currently 8 hardcovers on the shelf that I want/need to pick up, and there are another 4 coming in the next two months.

yeah, i saw him speak earlier this year at the PEN/faulkner readings here in d.c. and he was fabulous. he mentioned the new book and even though it was a kids book it sounded interesting...i do love harry potter. but you're right, i'll be waiting on this since there are about 5-7 books i have in mind right now! cheers
