I'm gonna try and find a nice first edition of Fight Club and buy a hardcover copy of Survivor, and buy another copy of Invisible Monsters for this. Choke is on it's way from Amazon.com. I'm also gonna get my Fight Club DVD signed. This is gonna be a sweet signing!! It's gonna be a reading/discussion/signing type of deal.
Also, Bruce Campbell, star of the cult-classic Evil Dead series, for a signing of his new book If Chins Could Kill : Confessions of A B Movie Actor. UPDATE: I just remembered the date is one week before it. The 21st.
Now... Who's coming with me? Huh? huh? Who's coming with me???

I'm there on one of the Portland dates.... but I am only getting him to sign Choke... I am sure he doesn;t want people bringing TONS of things to sign... to me it's like a free GC...one is enough, if everyone signs up for 5, then they run out...

He's doing something tonight or this weekend in Portland, OR. He was on Good Day Oregon this morning, and mentioned it, but I was only half listening and didn't get the details. Anyone get it?

A little late...as it was last night.
Anyway, the guy is amazing. Very down to earth, easy to talk to..just a great guy.
I got to the bookstore about 40 minutes early to get a seat, and he was already there just hanging out signing books. So I got him to sign Choke...I was going to take all my others but thought I shouldn't. Signed it "This is the martyrdom of Saint <my name here>...Chuck Palahniuk
ANyway, on the movie point from he said that Madonna wants to be a part of the Survivor production, and he just kinda laughed. And Monsters is in the thinking stage and that Parker Posey's name was tossed around for that one. He mentioned two TV shows he could be involved in. One with Marylin Manson, and one with Jim Uhls...but that's all he said.
But also mentioned his next horror book is being considered by David Fincher.....

I saw him at both the readings/signings he did in Seattle, and it was awesome, both times. He had a really cool story about what the first draft of "Invisible Monsters" was like, and how it got changed. I wish it hadn't been, though, because if he had kept it the way it was in the first draft, it would have been really cool.
He also mentioned briefly that he went to the Montana Testicle Festival, and I asked him about it when he was signing my book (I'd seen the website for the Festival, and it was... uh... kinda disturbing), and he said that when he went, he and his friend took a bunch of pictures, and when they got back they took them to be developed over at Fred Meyer (which is a grocery/everything store-- I think it's a regional thing, so just imagine an upscale, better Wal-Mart), and when he went to pick the pictures up, they asked him to take his film developing needs elsewhere.
He is really cool-- very humble and down to earth, and I wish I could have gone to see the rest of the stops on his book tour.
"Choke" is great, too.

Hey CK, what are the odds you could pick up an extra copy of Choke and get it signed for me?

C. Palahniuk fans - Autographed Lullaby
Chuck is doing a tour to promote his new book Lullaby which gets released next Tuesday, September 17th.
One of his stops is in San Francisco with a bookstore called Booksmith: www.booksmith.com
Anyway, they sell autographed books for retail price. If you can't physically be there they will allow you to order one via email, fax, or phone. Cost is $24.95 plus s/h which I believe is $6.00.
Just thought I'd post it in case anyone might be interested in getting a signed copy.

Doh! That was just a typo. but I'm glad you caught it L&O.
My wife and I were out last night and I realized it was Tuesday (I was thinking it was the 17th already) and I started hooping and hollering. That is until she told me it was only the 10th
Oh well, less than a week to go.
