Puss in Boots
My son goes to the library every Friday and he and my wife pick up about 10 new books. They picked up Puss in Boots. I thought I remembered it, but after reading it, it was all new. That was one smart kitty cat. Any thoughts?

I found a book of Grimm's fairy tales at Barnes & Noble based on the original stories and they weren't as I remembered them as a kid. These were stories that showed why they were called the "Dark Ages".

Well, "traumatize" might be a little bit too strong a term, but it is the general idea. Actually, many fairy tales were originally intended for adults, but of the ones for children, they were mostly moral-instruction type stories. So some of the violence might have been there to scare them into being good.
