Is there a place to ask for Amazon 'STL' for books?

I've been thinking about buying some exspensive books on Amazon. Would it be appropriate to start a thread asking for Amazon "Share the Love" referals? I'm thinking of getting the new Farside compleate set, and a couple of DC archives that I need (Spectre 1, Aquaman etc.) and would love to knock the price down by 10%.

I've merged the latest thread in and would take the opportunity to remind members to consider using the DVDTalk Amazon Link.

If you have access to a Costco they will have it for sale at $79.99 (about 41% off). If you buy it at their online store you'll be hit with a hefty $7.45 shipping fee.

Also, Overstock has it for around $80. as well with less shipping.

With Amazon's current price of $94.50, even with the 10% STL discount and the $3.99 shipping (you can't choose Super Saver on this one) it's more expensive.

It's really an incredible looking book. Gigantic, in fact. They have it on display at Barnes & Noble with its own rack. It'll certainly be the tallest book I will own.

BTW, B&N has it full price at $135.00!

Thanks for the tips cracksky. I don't have a Costco near me, so I'm going to go w/ Overstock. I was on the fence with this one, but the local Walden's has it on display and it is a lovely set. I'm a sucker for a nice looking book.

Be sure to carefully read Overstock's policies about returns.

Anyone who wants to add me to their Friends and Favorites, feel free. I buy a number of graphic novels, as well as fantasy/sf and horror novels. So if you have similar likes, I will add you to mine.

I sent love to the Clinton lovers (or maybe it's a front and they're just looking for more ammunition)

I would also welcome being placed on anyones STL lists just to help me browse and decide on purchases.

I'm planning on ordering Tomine's Scrapbook and maybe a couple other things like the Walking Dead vol 1 or McSweeney's 13. I'll probably put it off for a few days, so if anybody's planning on buying some comics from Amazon, post here.

From Sawdust to Stardust & Amazon (STL?)

I wasn't sure where to put this question, but figured I'd come here as the STL forum seems to be DVD related. I've been considering purchasing "From Sawdust to Stardust", the upcoming biography on DeForest Kelley. I was wondering if Share the Love works on books too, and if so, if anyone else may be picking it up and if so...

If I'm in the wrong forum, please feel free to toss me to the correct one. Thank you!
