I liked Federation and love the Fuzzy books. I picked up a collection of his Paratime series that I haven't read yet (started a bit slow though).
His characters were fairly Heinlein-esque--which is a good thing in my book.
Wish he had written more.

Seriously, he is one of my favourite science fiction authors, and if you haven't guessed it by now, that is where I got my nick (I've had it for close to 7 years!)
