Another Dennis Lehane pitch
I think it was Chili who started a thread about this author some time back. I liked and didn't like a few of his P.I. novels.
But... I have just finished reading Mystic River for the second time and I must say that this is one of the very best mystery books to come along in recent years.
It is so well done, imho, that i think anyone who is a fan of mystery, crime, or any of the sub-genres should check it out.
Anyone else read Mystic River?

Mystic River was one of the best reads of last year. I'm hoping Lehane comes up with something equally appetizing with his next book.
If you liked MR, I'd recommend FORTY WORDS FOR SORROW by Giles Blunt, and RIGHT AS RAIN by George Pelecanos...both great mystery/detective reads.
