Got the second one today. There were some good parts, but IMO, the art for the most part really sucked. The story also seemed a lot more disjointed -- not nearly as tight and flowing as in the original DKR and not even so much as #1. None of the little opinion captions made much sense or had anything worthwhile to say for the most part in the context of the story.

Hoping the conclusion will improve.

#2 confused the hell out of me, too. Hopefully a re-read will clarify things.

Spoiler:
It's always nice to see Plastic Man, though.

Picked up DK Strikes Again from Borders last weekend, finished it last night; I thought it was great! I love the direction Miller took it, and you've got to smile when they introduce
Spoiler:
Plastic Man and Green Lantern, and Supes daughter as well.

Dark Knight Returns is favorite book ever though; Godfather is my #2.

At least this thread didn't devolve into a bitter rant about how much Frank Miller sucks.

Frank Miller most certainly does not suck, but Dark Night 2 definitely does.

(Bendis aside), I can't remember the last time I was this dissapointed in a book.

Not to mention his Robocop 3....sick.

But I do love Miller though, I can't WAIT for his Batman & Robin series from DC later this year.

You mean later this month. And having Jim Lee on-board shouldn't hurt either.
