A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius
Has anybody read this? I'm having a hard time really staying interested in the book, which is really annoying, because it seems like everybody else liked it. It's not really a bad book, but I'd rather do something else than read it, which is a bad sign, no? Did anybody really enjoy it? Does it pick up later in the book? Or does it just stay the same throughout the book?

I thought it was okay, but the author was right: The portion he listed as the 'best part' or whatever in the beginning is really the best part. The rest of the book had its moments, but overall I thought it was merely an okay read with a fairly strong segment.
So, in conclusion: If you're not enjoying the 'real' (or however the guy reffered to it--I'm too lazy to go grab my copy) portion of the book, however, I don't think you'll find much in the rest.

From: Grounded in reality. For the most part.
I bought and read this when the book of the month club was trying to get started.
I forced my way through it, but I probably wouldn't read it again.
It's ok, but I don't think it deserves all the attention it has received.
