Help me w/ finding these books!!

Ok, i'll try to explain these books the best I can and hopefully someone can remember the series name.
They were a little like the Choose Your Own Adventure series but you had character sheets and you needed dice to figure out if you've killed the monster or whatever. Generally the theme was like Dungeons and Dragons, but I know I had a book that was about a Haunted House and one that was like Mad Max (you fought in cars).
Please, if anyone knows what series i'm talking about or can point me in the right direction.
