Pink Floyd Pulse Redux-Re-edited Blu Ray

This is now marked down to $20 at the Pink Floyd store. Just got mine. Full concert on one disc now instead of 2 like older release. Extra bonus content, really nice 64 page book and spine has Light that flashes red like old CD case had, with a larger hard shell case. The sound is amazing upgraded , and just an awesome package especially at that price for any Floyd fans like myself. Very highly recommended!

Would be nice if they remastered in 4k and reissued. Seems like the interest is there.

Not to mention Pink Floyd: The Wall.

^Even a Blu-ray version of the wall would be appreciated. It's hard to believe it hasn't happened.

It's my #1 physical media want. Well, ideally 4k but I'll take bluray.

Doubt we'll get anything significant on BD from Pink Floyd while Waters and Gilmour are both alive.

There's a region-free Blu-ray of The Wall movie released over in Spain. Copies pop up on eBay sometimes.

Ordered it and it never came :( Have heard others received theirs though so YMMV.

I have it in my hands right now. Video quality isn't fantastic but the audio is lossless.

Momentary Lapse of Reason is on sale for 30 for the remix Blu/CD combo roughly half off.

^ Would've liked that, too, but $17 shipping brings it to $47 US, when I could get it for about the same in CAN funds, through amazon.ca.

Ordered another copy from a us seller with good feedback. Should be here by Saturday. Picture still noticeably better than the dvd at least?

Got the blu-ray in the mail. The sound is good and i’ll take any improvement to picture I can get. Crazy how they seem to randomly set the chapter stops are but whatever.

I know this has nothing to do with Pulse, but I wish I could find an early copy of Delicate Sound of Thunder (BD) before they eliminated the bonus disc with the other 2 songs I wanted (Yet Another Movie and Round and Around). That those 2 songs are on the CD but not the (Restored, Re-edited, Remixed) video is a fucking travesty.

Wasn't it just the 4 disc cd/bd/DVD deluxe version that had the bonus tracks? I didn't think there was a version of the Blu-ray that came with a bonus disc.

Re: Pink Floyd Pulse Redux-Re-edited Blu Ray

The regular BD that's available now used to come with a bonus disc with 5 extra tracks on it. Here's a link to what it used to be but good luck actually finding it...

My research found that this version, which is supposed to be 2 discs, actually ships as 1, with no bonus tracks. They nixed the bonus disc, probably so they could make it exclusive to the deluxe fucking package at some ungodly fucking price.

Do you have any info about that release beyond the Amazon listing? That feels like a bad listing to me. The Blu-ray only release was never solicited as containing the bonus tracks. I've never read anyone reporting that they own such a release. Though maybe the are bootlegs out there that have them.

My understanding was that the bonus tracks were only available in the Later Years set, the 4 disc deluxe set and the iTunes version.

Re: Pink Floyd Pulse Redux-Re-edited Blu Ray

I looked on Discogs and there is no entry for a Delicate Sound of Thunder blu-ray with those bonus tracks...other than the blu-ray found in the 4-disc deluxe packaging (where they are bonus tracks on the BD itself). Sounds like an urban myth to me because Discogs is nearly infallible when it comes to such a high profile release from an artist like Pink Floyd... --Peter

So, I've been acting on the assumption that because of that Amazon listing, there was at one time a 2-Disc version of the Delicate Sound of Thunder BD, when in fact it never actually existed?

Shame on Amazon and shame on me for being gullible.

\

Yes - I paid more attention to the Amazon listing and I do see where they list the bonus tracks. That is incorrect. My blu-ray, purchased shortly after the release does not have those bonus tracks...nor are they listed on any of the blu-ray releases on Discogs EXCEPT in the 4-disc deluxe set. And for the record, I don't think the Amazon listing ever had it as a 2-disc set; I certainly don't remember that when I ordered it.

There are a gazillion errors on Amazon - wrong product info, wrong photos, etc etc etc and it's virtually impossible to enact any changes (I tried a couple of times about ten years ago). Meanwhile, over at Discogs, I see an error, I can go in and make the correction and PRESTO, it's immediately corrected!
