Gruv.com sales (Universal, Warner, Shout, other SDS labels)

Surprised there wasn't much talk about Gruv here, they are Univeral's version of WBShop (RIP) and they have good deals pretty consistently. I think they have different sales pretty much every weekend. They also happen to have free shipping right now, though that might just be for this month.

For example, I just picked up The Big Lebowski 4K and TMNT complete series DVD for 8.79 and 23.99 respectively after using the 20% off coupon GRUVLOYAL20.

They also have a bunch of 5.99 BDs right now, I recently picked up Street Fighter, Orgazmo and Blues Brothers 2000. Better yet, if you redeem My Universal Rewards points, you can get a coupon for $3 off an order, so I had enough rewards to get each of those for 2.99.

Thanks for creating the thread. I've purchased from GRUV a couple times. It's also worth noting that they have an eBay store, where prices are sometimes even better, but I don't think coupon codes will work there.

re: Gruv.com sales (Universal, Warner, Shout, other SDS labels)

Placed separate orders earlier this week and got the following in today(all blu-rays)....

Legend
Duel
Ride Along 1 & 2
Mama
Smokey & the Bandit

All were blind buys for me except Smokey. I used 2 of the $3 Universal Rewards coupons on Legend & Duel to make them $3 each. The others were part of the 2 for $8 blu-ray deal. I combined the 20% off coupon making them $3.20 each.

I also placed another order yesterday for Hulk 4K and The Office Season 8 blu-ray for $12 each after coupon.

The store seems to be Universal's way of dumping back inventory. I have a feeling this is a response to disappearing Black Friday media sales, which used to be how studios dumped their unsold media inventories from earlier in the year.

Joltman thanks a bunch.

I had Back to The Future 4K in my cart from a few months ago when it was $10 and I didn't buy it in time. They just let me order it for $8 + Free Shipping with the loyalty coupon!!!

Their new release / preorder prices are fair as well, especially when they have something like this 20% coupon going.

I preordered Scott Pilgrim and The Thing on UHD BD for $17.59 shipped each. I have Colossal, Atonement, and the two Happy Death Day flicks coming for $31.82 shipped, which isn’t amaaaazing (Colossal really skewed things), but I’m happy with it.

Never used them. How's their packaging and shipping times (does it line up with what they state on the site)? Customer service good? I didn't see a link but I take it this is their site? https://www.gruv.com/

have placed a few orders on their site and eBay store. No issues in terms of fulfillment, have always received in boxes (my orders have been at least 5 or more at a time). The eBay store seems to have free shipping all the time

An order of three Blu-rays came in a padded envelope much like the ones Amazon uses.

I had a Mummy Collection steelbook in my cart for $7.99 (must have been looking previously) and the price didn’t update when I checked out to the current much higher price. Ordered couple other things too

While waiting on a couple preorders, I thought I would see how a regular order would go. Went pretty well, even arrived a few days before the USPS site said the delivery date was. Pretty satisfied with them. I'm sure the preorders will go smoothly, too.

The monsters 4K is a great price but I already ordered the Drac & Frank steelbooks. They ship fast and seem to have solid pricing

I tried ordering the 4K Universal Monsters set but it didn't take the 10% or 20% off this first order. Are you supposed do use a code or something to get the discount or does it not work on preorders.

The code that was being used was GRUVLOYAL20 for the discount but it's been like a month already, so who knows if it hasn't expired already. I used the code on The Thing, Monsters set, and Carlito's Way/Inglorious Basterds discs.

According to USPS I should get The Thing on Tuesday, which is the release day. Pretty happy so far with GRUV.

And I've been using GRUVLOYAL20 on my last few orders, too. Two of he order were preorders: The Thing, Universal Monsters.

Thanks Why So Blu. 20% off coupon still works. I just saw the pop up on the site that said 20% off first order with no code. I set up an account but no discount appeared at checkout so I didn't know how to get it.

Yep, mine's in the Houston area, but it doesn't look like it's going to be delivered today, so Tuesday for me as well.

Thx.

I picked up the F&F 8 movie set for $43 shipped. Hopefully it makes it to me in one piece and the discs aren't slipping around.

The Thing showed up an hour ago. Did my usual spot check. Looks very good. Can't wait till I have more time to watch the whole movie.
