SAE UPDATE
LONG HOT SUMMER -- SOLD OUT/now OOP SOLD OUT MONDAY at TTM APRIL LOVE (1957) -- false alarm I think. I'm seeing 4 copies and it's still in my wishlist with a ADD TO CART buttom, but the Item Page itself is gone. Not sure what's going on with it though not sure how you get it to your cart unless it's already there or in a Wishlist page While they may have messed up one listing, at least those 40-45 dead/Sold out titles have finally been cleared. |

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
It's been a real disheartening experience for me. I placed my order on the Monday after the announcement. Three items ordered, two weeks ago, and not yet shipped. I started hearing from my friends who ordered after me that their orders had been shipped. So I contacted the Twilight Time customer support and, real catty, they asked if I had even read the email about how many orders they received. I replied that it concerned me that orders were being shipped out of order (which is contrary to what their email about an abundance of orders states). The customer support said it could cancel the order. The experience certainly isn't prompting me to place another order with Twilight.

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
3 item order placed Wednesday 5/13 shipped. Much larger order placed Monday 5/11 is still pending.
One of the 3 items had sold out per their website after I ordered it and it did ship. it had the "Unfortunately this product is no longer for sale so it cannot be reordered." message. |

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
I guess if they are allowing customers to cancel orders other items may become available again. So are items like "the Barefoot Contessa " which is only available to put on your wish list, an item that was briefly back in stock and maybe will come in stock again?

I'm guessing TTM likely cancelled the order and not the customer unless a customer somehow filed a CC or PP complaint or if a customer was just violently abusive like some are starting get on some forums. This was happening fairly regularly before the Clearance Sale where items would actually go up in stock by a few units occasionally instead of down -- sometimes a couple ot items, occasionally nearly 100 like Next Stop Greenwich Village and Stanley and Iris. It was just much harder to see then b/c the items weren't sold out and off the site or with their Add to Cart button removed, Looks like whatever the reason -- Whirlpool is gone again |
Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
Another email asking people to please be patient about shipping.
We are making progress shipping orders and getting through our backlog but it will still be a few weeks before all orders have been shipped. Our warehouse is working 7 days a week to get your order out. We have received multiple inquiries from customers who have checked their order status on our site and are concerned about a message that some titles on their order are no longer available for sale. This standard message has no bearing on the status of your order and only means that a title has sold out and can not be purchased again. Unless you have been contacted by our support team and told otherwise, all the products you ordered are allocated to your order and it will ship complete as soon as possible. Once your package ships, please be aware that unfortunately the wait is not over. There are currently massive delays with both domestic and international mail systems. We are fielding multiple queries from customers wondering why tracking shows their shipment is sitting at a particular location in the postal system. We have no control over shipments once we ship them. All we can do is advise patience while your package is on the way to you.. |

That's the part I really have to hope is accurate. Another distressing factor here has been people mentioning receiving news that an item in their order has been cancelled. The patience of waiting for the shipment is one thing, but it is a separate problem if you're not even sure if your items will be available to be shipped. |
Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
If they have been really working 7 days a week fulfilling orders, what explains orders placed on day 1 of the clearance sale still awaiting shipment ? Surely you didn't land 10000 orders on that one day. The orders have been validated as well as that's how OOS titles were confirmed but still sitting out there from 5/10 ? Just doesn't ring true but it's wasted energy trying to make sense of TT's strategy (if they even had one)

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
I made multiple orders over several days including the first day of sale. The last order placed was the first, and so far only, order to ship. Was sent Tuesday from Texas and is out for delivery today in New York. Tracking originally said it was expected Saturday, so assuming I get it today, it is two days early.

From scanning the threads I don't think I've read of any more refunded titles since last week -- around the 20th is the last though a couple posts made later mentioned a refund, but sounds like it happened the end ot Week 1. If they are making a bit of headway into shipping pile and no cancellations in the week I hope that means all the other items in the orders are mostly accounted for even if they aren't dispatched yet |
Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
The order sent was 3 items. The order was placed May 13th. Other orders were larger and placed May 11 and 12th. I have had no cancellation/refund notices on anything I have ordered.
I enjoy reading your updates on available stock and units sold. Thanks |

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
I like the updates as well, even with them being wild to share amid concerns over distant orders not yet shipped. My worries appear valid and yet part of the situation. May it end well.
In order to be wild myself, I'll compliment the company that distresses me by mentioning that Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? isn't a movie to sleep on. Just as baffling to me as the Twilight Time shipping method is the fact that Frank Tashlin's live-action movie hasn't sold out. |
Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
The SAE site looks so nice now with all the long and not so long sold out titles on Twilight Time's website still available.
If you look at the titles released in 2019, the last year they released new titles, most of these are the titles still available. Most hadn't been discounted before or if they had they were in the $24.99 or $19.99 brackets before March 2020 when the pre going out of business sale started. They had more available when the sale started and therefore some are still available. They are also on the list of the most recent sell outs on Twilight Time. Today my order shipped, all three titles. The day I say a nice thing the order ships.
In my mind Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? should have flown out the door like Melvin and Howard did. |

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95
Speculation on what SAE will do on July 1 when they take possession of remaining stock? Will they bump everything back to $30 or have their own clearance sale ? They have been selling the discs at a steep discount since March, Would be odd to bump them back to $30. Who would buy at $30 that didn't buy at $4.95 to $14.95.
