Am I like the only one who expects something like Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon or Ghost Ship to be about $10-$13 during these sales and always get disappointed?

Behind the Mask has never really been reduced anywhere. I picked it up after patiently waiting. Scream's edition is light years better than the mediocre Anchor Bay BD.

Shocktober last month is the closest they come, and the next big sale will be around Valentine’s Day (Love Is in the Scare).

But you might have good luck with one of the B2G1F sales at Target or Amazon. Target has another one starting this Sunday (and running through 11/27), although it’ll depend on if target.com has any of the movies you’re looking for in-stock.

Shout has the Space 1999 blu-ray set for $80. Anyone think this will ever be released at a lower price?

It was $61.59 on Amazon on October 16. So, my guess is that the price will return to that level on occasion (but you'll have to keep your eyes on it).

I purchased a copy from Target during a B2G1 sale - paid $67 (including tax - it was also $93 then and shows a current price of $110). It's OOS currently but you can set an in-stock alert:

FYI: I just found out the hard way the Shout Factory blu's don't play with old firmware. Specific disc: Return Of The Vampire. Firmware: old Oppo for the BDP-95 that allows iso play (which Is why I have not updated it).

I have a LOT of problems with Shout discs on my old Sony BD player which hasn't had a firmware update since 2011. Luckily I also have a Toshiba multi-region player in my setup (I try to only use that for non Region As, because it doesn't seem durable enough to be my everyday player; I think I could blow on it and launch it across the room) that I end up using when a Shout disc crashes my Sony. I brought this up at a Shout panel at Comic-Con but they said it's more of a Sony issue and I had to agree with them (I was more hoping they'd apply pressure to Sony to do another FW update, they'd have more pull than I would, and sure enough, Sony has not responded to a single E-mail I've sent them).
