Not eligible................... I've redeemed various "awards" for gift cards, but I don't think I've ever purchased one. Oh well.

Anyone buy Brain Damage when it was really cheap back in May of this year for $10.99? Well, it hasn't shipped yet--it's been what, 3 months. Anyone else experience this? I think they'll eventually cancel it.

Possibly. Amazon for some items will attempt to build up a sizable number of orders before cutting a deal with the distributor. I've seen it happen before. The process does sometimes take 3-6 months.

Thanks for posting this! I was able to cancel the DOTD order I made yesterday and reorder today at the lower price.

The Fast and the Furious collection? I haven’t seen any indication that it dropped that low, even briefly. I definitely couldn’t say no at that price! I do see the Hobbs and Shaw preorder on UHD BD for $29.95, though.

Tempting but I’ve been getting the recent MCU releases on 4K. I’ll wait until Black Friday.

The Complete David Tennant Dr Who preorder is now $33.18. Don't know who they are matching but an odd price.
Preorder price guarantee updated price for anyone who ordered when the price was $34.99.

Looks like it’s a Walmart price match. Unless Walmart is price matching Amazon.

Thanks. Cancelled my Best Buy order after they would not price match, and switched to amazon.

What about a better price (and retailer for what it's worth)?
31.97 -- no sales tax and FS. That;s appears to be $4-5 cheaper for most people

Never heard of Bullmoose, but thanks for introducing them. I’m one of those stupid law abiders that would later pay the sales tax anyway, and get 5% off from Amazon, so.....

I recently discovered Bullmoose and have loved ordering from them so far. Their used blu-rays are mostly in pristine condition. Their shipping is fast too. Great customer service.

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

Has anyone else been having trouble with Prime's one-day shipping, offered if you order early enough in the day? I've placed at least 10 of these over the months, and NOT ONE has arrived in a day. They usually don't even ship in time. I've also had all sorts of problems with damages, no-shows, and I even received a sealed empty package. Then again, I just received a Target order today, ordered 8 days ago, that was supposed to be 2-day shipping.

Not a problem, but I'd still save money paying the tax, and feel better ordering from a customer friendly indie like Bullmoose and not have to deal with Amazon's increasingly poor performance.

I'd say the majority reading various forums, It's become a seeming avalanche of complaints. Especially for Disney and Warner products as well as almost anything distributed by Allied Vaughn (WAC, Sony and Universal pressed MOD products). Increasing amts of resealed 3rd party/Marketplace items (with the 3rd Party stickers attached) apparently sold either FBA or direct from Amazon and not now downgraded to thin paper mailers and not even those poor bubble mailers.

Walmart almost certainly would be a better option since it's their $33 price and they have a 60-90 return/price guarantee and the chances of this set not being low 20's by Christmas I'd say is remote

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

Is there a typical time of year that Barnes & Noble does their 50% a bunch of BBC titles sale? I think I'm going to risk holding out for that one, at $45 retail it feels like we will get a cheaper price somewhere, and I'm in no hurry to get it (but I do want it ).

Normally the annual sale started after the Nov Criterion sale for 1-2 week and ended prior to the 40% All Bluray sale the full week before Christmas, but they had an extra sale in May this year.
It's normally been 1-2 weeks, but the last couple of Decembers they've run the in-store (incl store based shiptohome) through Christmas Eve. They've also changed from 50-60% off in the middle of the sale the last 2 years

Spoiler:
12/1/2015-12/14/2015
11/29/2016-12/12/2016

11/27/2017-12/10/2017 (50%)
12/11/2017-12/18/2017 (60% off)

12/4/2018-12/17/2018 (50% Online)
12/4/2018-12/10/2019 (50% off Instore)
12/11/2018-12/24/2018 (60% Instore)
12/18/2018 - 12/24/2018 (60% off online)

5/13/2019 - 5/27/2019

And yes, since this is the Amazon thread, I'll refrain from any further B&N
