Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

Leda sounds interesting, but $18 is too much for a film I've never heard of.

Drop it to $6 & I'd be in.

Since there isn't a Hamilton dvd section, I highly recommend this 5 film Karloff set for $5

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

Captain Marvel, Lion King and Frozen II in 3D is nice. I don't think they were ever released in the US, this seems like the right price to add to the collection.

I don't think The Witches (2020 version) was ever released either in the US. That's another one. Also great price on Gosford Park at 9.95.

FYI those movies are all on Blu-ray, in the Universal Horror Collections from Shout, except The Strange Door which was released by Kino.

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

I'm often suckered by a combo of mood and selection w/ Hamilton. I could possibly go for Death Wish 3, (why am I collecting this series on physical media?) The Purge 4-Movie Collection (2-bucks each for BD and extras? I am a fool.) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Series (I have it on digital but this has a lot of extras, so a semi-rational choice?) and Robert Kirkman's Secret History of Comics I guess because it's 4-hours of creators talking about comics.

Obviously, because Death Wish 3 has the "when geezers fight back" motif that you are missing with your media collection!

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

I picked up a copy of BURN NOTICE: The Fall of Sam Axe as it's one I've considered in the past (because I own a copy of the series but haven't watched it yet) and now looks to be OOP (commanding high prices on Amazon). Threw in those Gumby DVD sets with the bendable figures, City of the Dead, and Guest Wife - all to help offset shipping and because Hamilton's prices were better than anywhere else.

Picked up a copy of BURN NOTICE: The Fall of Sam Axe and City of the Dead myself, along with a few others (The Harvesters, Viktoria, Gosford Park)

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

I had no idea about the Gumby sets since I just usually look at the BDs, I'm tempted to pick them up now (I already have the movie on Blu-ray)

Hmmm... I didn't notice the 80s set - I *might* have picked it up for the bendable figures but really don't recognize them at all so... I already own the Gumby DVDs (the versions without the bendable figures) and ordered them from Hamilton *just* for the figures, purely for nostalgia (I wore out a Gumby bendable as a kid in the early 60s - played with it so much that all the wires finally broke and it wouldn't bend right any more). A few months back I watched the 50s set and was surprised at how enjoyable it was. Part was nostalgia but part was viewing with adult eyes.

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

I ordered all 4 that they had, the only thing they don't have is the second volume of the 80s series.

Got my Gumby sets today. Thought the included figures were the miniature ones from back when BUT they are the full size original ones. Awesome deal for the $ and the pq is fine. KOOL!

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

My order came in Saturday. My 19yo grandson was quite intrigued by the box they use (What kind of box is that?!?) so stuck around to see what I'd picked up. He *really* liked the bendable figures, though I don't know if he'd like the shorts (doubtful). I told him I'd completely worn out a Gumby just like in the box when I was 5-6yo, which he thought was cool, and told him I got those sets solely for the bendable characters as I already owned copies of the discs.
