When does the birthday discount show up? My birthday is on the 19th, it'd be nice if I could combine it with B2G1

Not much in the way of preorders eligible at the moment, but ordered 12 Monkeys UHD and Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers Blu. After loading up on preorders in November, there wasn't a lot I wanted this sale. Picked up Red Shoes UHD and In the Line of Fire UHD and threw two more UHDs and two cookbooks as filler. Was not expecting Last Night in Soho to sell out as fast as it did after waiting a month specifically to get it in this sale.

Kind of off topic, but the B2G1 actually includes first party Nintendo games! I just ordered Warioware (49.99) and Mario Maker 2 (52.99) for the Switch along with Community complete series Blu-ray (54.99).

How long does this one run? If it overlaps with another payday, I might try again.
This time I just got the Nausicaa steelbook and the FLCL Progressive and Alternative DVDs.

Says 2-6 through 2/12. It's been very rare to go more than a week. There was one sale that ran 3 consecutive weeks, but even those it wasn't advertised as a continuous sale. The T&C kept saying it ran from Sun through Sat. I don't remember
there being any indication it would continue beyond the end of the week

FWIW, they've also run the sale during Easter week each of the past two years but did children's books or some shit this year. I'm still hoping for middle June, but not as confident as I have been in the past.

Re: Target buy-2-get-1-free mega-thread
Since they've apparently removed all teh Allied Vaughn titles the sale is far less important than it was -- no more Sony/Universal/Warner Pressed MOD BD on the site at all.
With MovieZyng running their recent WAC sale and Amazon heavily discount many/most of the newer WAC releases that took care of 95% of the stuff I ordered from Target anyway
Criterion big sale in July so none of the newer Criterions will be of any use based on past pricing,
Gruv, Arrow and Kino do better self-sales and many of the Shout Titles have been gone for the last couple sales.
Disney are usually better priced elsewhere
So older Criterions will probably have decent discounts plus a few odds/ends unless Target.com is revamping with a new distributor replacing Ingram

OK... just *when* did *that* happen? I'd just checked my wish list last week and they were there. Now *all* Warner Archive titles (BD and DVD) are gone completely. Well... guess it means I'll have money for other stuff instead.
I used to get lots of board games from them during those sales until Asmodee started forcing all the titles they distribute OOS a day or two before. They *always* come back in stock within hours of the sale ending. Fortunately I managed to pick up most of those in the few sales before Asmodee got their collective panties in a wad over the very low prices the sale offers (they have a firm "minimum advertised price allowed" for any title they distribute - they also ship their titles directly rather than have Target warehouse them so it's kind of a 3rd party deal that's not fully disclosed with those still showing "Sold by Target" when they truly are not).

Nobody knows if this was a Target decision, but almost certainly had something to do with Ingram Entertainment (their main or only wholesale distributor who also handles 99% of their online Fulfillment). The question has been whether Ingram initiated
the drop of a whole distributor, Allied Vaughn initiated the drop from Ingram, or if Target may be dropping Ingram completely changing to ALLIANCE like Walmart and BBY for a larger selection/better deal . Or outside possibility of not re-signing with any Wholesale in order to drop
all Media completely online and in-store)

Re: Target buy-2-get-1-free mega-thread
I was deleting items I purchased elsewhere today and saw this in my cart under certain titles.
When I clicked on them it gave me this:
I assumed there was a sale. I never tried to complete a checkout.

Re: Target buy-2-get-1-free mega-thread
When I go to those items, no mention of an offer and Sleepwalkers doesn't even seem to be available at all.
I would assume if you'd gone to the checkout page it would have kicked you out, but it is certainly strange. I've seen that leftover label in my saved items if I did the save during a sale. My Favorites list didn't keep that label, but
I don't remember leaving items in a cart after the sale ended to see what would happen.
Gruv.com does actually leave the prices intact (and active) for items in the cart even after their sale ends. I don't remember any other site -- as long as you have cookies active and don't clear your browser history
allowing that
Best guess for nexr B2G1 woudl be Fathers day week since they have the sale in 2020 and 2021 that week -- but then again they had sale in 20/21 near Easter as well so we;ll have to see.
