ARGH that comes out to $14.44 a season. Still not sure whether I want to hold out hope for another FoxConnect $9.50 a season after 50% off if bought individually.

Almost a great deal but with sales tax comes to about $15.74 each for me shipped. I need them to be $9.99 or less before I bite on seasons 2-9.

Dangit, and I just completed buying all of the sets at $14.99 a pop. Still not a bad deal, but... oh well.

I picked up the first seven season for $9.50 each from Fox Connect, and I think that's good enough for me. I already have the complete DVD set, and probably won't bother getting either 8 or 9 on blu unless they're like $5.99 or something.

FYI per previous posts there is nothing extra in the complete box set compared to the individual season sets except for the box itself.

I agree...especially since, as CF pointed out directly above, that there's nothing extra to be gained with the set (aside from a box).

Still waiting for FoxConnect to send Season 8. Got all the rest for $9.50 during the sale, and S. 8 was on the invoice but left out.

We called and emailed twice and finally got a shipping notice. Then the UPS tracking link said that "the sender had voided the tracking number" and that UPS didn't have the shipment in their possession. After a third phone call, we were told that the shipping notice "was a mistake made by a new person" and that they were OOS and expecting more "in about two weeks."

Sigh.

Yeah I'm gonna wait I got enough streaming to tide me over to the next FC.

I thought the $150 pre-order price from Fox Connect was a good deal. A bit irritating that I could have waited a little over a month and gotten it for $20 less but I guess whatever.

I'm shocked by the number of impatient buyers or people surprised by this price. It was $9 per season pre-release, no reason to think it won't go there multiple times again.

I'll pass. I have them all on DVD and rarely watch them, though I did spin a few episodes when the new series was announced last year. In a case like this, I'll only rebuy if my kids decide to watch them and I don't think my collection or the current streaming options aren't good enough.

Exactly. If you don't care about the box best to wait for that sub $90 that it will cost to get each season individually. Or just wait as eventually I expect the box to be the same sub $90 price (or less to get rid of them).

I'm not terribly upset over it. I'm just more surprised that it dropped that fast. Its not exactly normal for season sets of a series on Blu-ray to drop that low. Especially for a popular and in demand show like The X-Files.

Now it's Best Buy's turn for DOTD for $129.99

But I'm glad you asked, because I didn't even know about a corrected set. The delay will be well worth it to get improved sets, so I hereby retract my complaint!

(Although it would be nice if FoxConnect could get their act together & keep customers in the loop. We're patient, but we'd like to be informed when things are OOS or back-ordered instead of just thinking we'll not get them).

It's a painless process, Fox has been great about handling it.

I wish. We've made two phone calls to FoxConnect & were assured that they'd be getting more stock in about two weeks but still no news.

Considering that we ordered back in November & never got the first copy of S. 8, I'd say it's about time.

We're not in any rush to re-watch them, but it's still an aggravation to make sure they haven't forgotten us. They must have taken lessons from the Disney movie club (we nearly always have to call them 2-3 weeks after placing an order to remind them of our order, regardless of how large it is. Amazingly, the order gets shipped within a day after our call. ).

Weird. It took me one email I sent 2 weeks ago and I got mine in the mail yesterday. I also ordered it the first time the set became available for pre-order.

I think Creek is in a little bit of a different boat here. Sounds like he had ordered season 8 from the Fox Connect sale, and it wasn't in the box that that they sent him. He needs a full retail set of the corrected discs. They may not have those yet, as the replacements going out seem to be disc only. The frustrating thing is they seem to be communicating with him less than they are with those of us that simply sent an email asking for replacement discs. He would probably get corrected discs quicker if he emailed for the replacement discs, but then he would be lacking a case.

I told myself I'll just buy them individually as I see them paying whatever the Amazon price is at the moment and the only rule was that I couldn't buy the next season until I finished the current one. I bought S1 when it was $9.99 and got a buck back for digital purchases so about the same as the lowest Fox and have yet to see it

I snagged season 2-6 for just $7.50 each through the Target cartwheel 50% off deal. I just need season 1, 7, 8 and 9 at this point so keeping them all wrapped until I can snag season 1 on the cheap and start binge watching all 7 seasons and the special event series! My whole investment in the series is likely to be less than $100. Buying the entire season set only adds a cheap cardboard box—and that ain't worth $70!!
