Dude, are you delusional? Who are these "people who are crazy about Black Friday" you're talking about? You were THE FIRST person to even MENTION Black Friday in this entire thread. Look at the thread title; where in there is there a mention of Black Friday? Go back and reread every post until yours (post #90) in this thread--YOU bring up the topic of Black Friday, and then get in a tizzy for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. What are you, twelve years old?

Ahem.

Cardsfan assumed there was going to be another BOGO deal for movies. I was correcting him a little bit that was the sale from last year.

He/she does not know what Sunday ad sale will be for Dollar General this coming sunday even if its for Black Friday.

Sorry for the digression, folks--back to the topic at hand.

I'm planning to hit a Dollar General or two when they open on Sunday morning--if the glitch is indeed in effect, I'll post and let everyone know.

Im not making another trip to the Dollar General store since Ive been going there back and forth for horror movies during Halloween time. Time to take a break anyway.

If there is even a Black Friday sale going on for movies DVD and or blu ray Ill check out the Weekly Ad on line the website for Dollar General

Here's an ad scan from The Couponing Couple that shows the BOGO DVD and Blu-ray sale:

Note that it's only good Sunday through Wednesday, and that it specifically states the $4.95 price point.

So much racism in here ... why can't people just be more accepting? Why should the race of the sale matter? It's about the sale that's inside.

Thanks in advance! Over the last few days, I checked my closest locations. I was surprised to find things I was interested in. Some even if they are just 2/$4.95.

The only DVDs and blu ray that are on regular sale are this years Halloween horror movie selection which is mostly of Silent House, Nightmare on Elm Street 5, Final Destination 4, House at the End of the Street, 1970s Invasion of the Body Snatchers, old Children of the Corn, Unrated Hellraiser II, Hellraiser 1, Elvira movie and The Birds and Psycho DVD double pack.

also regular movies theres Boyz in the Hood and Underworld 1 for blu ray and the usual peg warming Blu rays of Terminator 3, bare bones Prometheus and one or two copies of Taken 1 and Porkys and whatever else

Re: Dollar General Blu-rays

As promised, I went by Dollar General this morning, and...

THE GLITCH IS BACK.

As a test, I grabbed The Magnificent Seven and Wall Street. Remarkably, it's the same as last year; each item rings up at half-price ($2.48), and then each is further discounted by half ($1.24), bringing the final cost of each to $1.24. I'm not sure as to whether you actually have to buy two to get the second discount; I'll leave that for someone else to discover.

Re: Dollar General Blu-rays

Well the BOGO sale for movies both DVD and blu ray, you have to buy the ones that are 4.95

So if you buy two movies that are 4.95, then you get the other second movie basically free I guess.

Re: Dollar General Blu-rays

The pre black friday sale for old 4.95 blu rays ring up at 2.40 something which is still cheap in my opinion.

i ended up buying these three movies earlier today from the Dollar General store

Say Anything
Caddyshack
Taken 1 the 2 disc Extended Cut

Re: Dollar General Blu-rays

Remember to grab a quantity that is divisible by 2 to maximize the savings.

urrutiap 11-18-18 01:41 PM

yes I know that, Sherlock.

yes I bought 3, but the other two movies came up with the BOGO sale anyway which was fine by me.

I didnt want to go overboard by buying a bunch of crap junk movies.

I saw a few decent movies for blu ray that have the 4.95 price sticker and then there were still some horror movies for DVD leftover from Hallowene like Elm Street 5 and Children of the Corn.

the spinner rack of blu ray movies, that doesnt have much to pick from since thats where I got Say Nothing and Caddyshack. Just bunch of pegwarming movies that take up space like Taken and Terminator 3 and whatever else.

Is this sarcastic tone really necessary? It seems obvious that b2net was simply trying to be helpful, but your reply to him along with your earlier responses to others is a bit out of line, don't you think?

I appreciate your love of Dollar General stores and the deals they have. It seems as if you want to contribute information to others to help them. But please consider a little more courtesy in your replies.

Well,Cardsfan...

I would appreciate it if you would back the hell off while you and the other guy would stop it.

I know theres a frikkin buy one get one more movie cheaper sale at Dollar General. Technically the two movies out of the three movies they have the damn sale. Including the third movie by itself anyway.

urrutiap 11-18-18 02:50 PM

Re: Dollar General Blu-rays

Im not gonna go hog wild on buying up hoarding away bunch of junk movies from Dollar General just because they have the BOGO early Black Friday sale on movies for DVD and blu ray.

urrutiap 11-18-18 02:52 PM

Re: Dollar General Blu-rays

They're 2.48 each and they're not going anywhere at the moment anyway.

You think anyone else besides me is gonna waste even 2.48 on pegwarmer cloggers like Terminator 3 for blu ray or bare bones stuff like Murder in the First or the Denzel Washington movie Under Siege?

the horror movies for DVD and blu ray leftover from Halloween, they're a better selection than the blu ray movies in the spinner rack anyway but I dont need them right now at the moment anyway.

urrutiap 11-18-18 02:53 PM

3 movies is my limit for now.

the regular in stock movies for blu ray where they'rein the spinner rack, its a crap selection anyway

Bunch of copies of Terminator 3, Joyful Noise, bare bones stuff from Under Siege to the greek mythology movies like Immortals and Clash of the Titans remake. then theres like 3-4 copies of The Mummy Tomb of Emperor Dragon or whatever.

You really want to waste even 2.48 on those?

Free Birds i wouldnt mind getting since id be getting it more for as a stocking stuffer movie for the nephews or nieces for Christmas anyway

Helpful hint from the Forum FAQ:

Can I block posts, emails and messages from specific users?

If there are particular members that bother you and you do not want to see their posts or receive Private Messages and Emails from them, then you can add these members to your 'Ignore List'. There are several ways to do this:

Through your User Control Panel: User CP, Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List. Then, type their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'.

Anyone else have a Dollar General store that has a better selection in the spinner rack for blu ray movies besides Terminator 3, Joyful Noise and bunch of pegwarming Taken movies?

Re: Dollar General Blu-rays

Plus the store still has Resident Evil Final Chapter for DVD for 8 bucks regular price anyway which i wouldnt mind getting since I have most of the Resident Evil movies for DVD anyway.

Free Birds Im still planning on getting for a stocking stuffer gift
