Yep. 6 blu rays for the movies and 9 DVDs for the extras. Didn't realize they removed the digital copy from the original set though.

Are the 3 movies in the 5-disc editions (Fellowship linked above) the exact same content as this box set? I'm assuming so, but just wanted verification. Thanks in advance! --Peter

I've waited for a great deal on this set....and now I'm kind of tired of the films.

I have this set along with the 3 extended Hobbit movies on BD. I don't know when or if I'll ever be motivated enough to re-visit them.

This is dedicating almost 20 hours, not counting extras to all 6 of these movies.

It occurred to me that I never redeemed my digital copy codes in iTunes. Even though it said they expired in 2012, they still worked

Agreed, WB lost a sale from me for being so petty as dropping the free to them digital codes.

I don't get why anyone cares about the digital code. If you really want to watch it on your phone get dvd fab, rip & convert.

Phone? I watch my digital library on the televisions of wherever I happen to be.
