Eureka UK Halloween sale. Free shipping, but I’m not sure that applies to US buyers these days . . .

88 Films Halloween Flash Sale.

33% off orders over £88 with code 33OFF88

I might have to bite as I’ve fallen behind on their HK stuff waiting for a sale since the winter.

Maybe Cult Epics? I feel like they’ve done BF sales before, but not sure.

Flicker Alley usually has some modest offerings.

VCI usually participates. Synapse, too, I think?

I know Cult Epics did 1/2 off free shipping with no minimum a few years ago, I’ll have to give them a check this year. Flicker and VCI reminds me I should add Oldies.

and Synapse… I’ve never purchased from them on BF, maybe I have never even looked? I will for sure have to check them this year.

Thanks

Not sure if anyone’s still looking for a Shaw Brothers deal, but Amazon has had Shout’s Vol. 5 boxed set marked down to $69.99 pretty much since I made that post above. I actually ordered this in their last B2G1 sale matching Target, but then the ship date for it was delayed so long that I ended up cancelling and reordering at this price, and it shipped almost immediately. Go figure. Anyway, I doubt Gruv will go this low, but you never know. The only hitch is that Amazon is down to one copy as I post this.

Well that was almost my first purchase from Diabolik, they offered me a 10% so I loaded a cart, went to checkout and no, this code does not works with these items. Oh well.

I think that Deaf Crocodile might be releasing Olivia Newton John's Toomorrow (1970), next year. They listed planned releases in an email and one of them was
A huge pop star's Sci-Fi debut, newly restored in collaboration with the B.F.I.
It appears to tick all the check boxes. It was directed by Val Guest, so it's worth a look just for that.

^ I’m only vaguely familiar with this company (probably from old posts here), but when I go to their home page there’s a big essay – from the spring – about how they’re effectively out of business, or at least out of the subscription business (which doesn’t really surprise me). Are these ‘packs’ just clearing out old stock or something?

I think so, the guy who runs it has a thread on the other forum I think. Basically said the economics didn't work anymore.

If it was guaranteed all horror pack exclusives I would pull the trigger but I would be worried it is just a bunch of the Blus they have listed for $4.99 of which I already have a lot of.

Black Friday BOGO at Umbrella (Australia). Shipping could be steep (possibly more so for Americans because reasons), so ymmv:

They also have a 24-hour $10 flash sale on random stuff:

MVD is live:

Sale mirrored at oldies.com so you can combine items also for sale over there to hit the $75 free shipping threshold.

Man I wish I hadn’t of bought the Go Go Boys a few years ago for $13, still on my ‘to watch’ shelf and now on sale for $1.99

Watching it probably won’t alleviate much of the regret, either. If you’ve seen the far superior ELECTRIC BOOGALOO, you have all the knowledge you need. And that one is the gift that keeps on giving with Mark Hartley’s extended and/or unseen interviews still turning up on new special editions from various labels.

Incidentally, GO-GO BOYS is on YouTube (unofficially) for free, in case you might be able to increase the trade-in value if your copy is unopened.

Re: Deals Thread for Cult, Genre and/or Non-Region A Blu-Rays

Just got that email and was about to post. It’s highly worth noting that some of those TT discs are 20th Century Fox films, and some very decent movies, to boot, so if don’t get these you’ll have increasingly fewer chances – especially at ten bucks – in the future as they’ll likely never see the light of day again on physical media from Disney.

Most of these were $10 in various TT sales toward the, umm, twilight of their time, but screen archives has virtually never had them this low.

Didn't see anything at MVD I had to have at the price, but I noticed a couple of the "Inspector Wore Skirts" movies for $12. That's a nice price for those.

^ There are some other 88 Films releases in this batch for decent prices. I waited ages to get all of these on sale from 88 and/or other sites, but now I see could’ve saved a little more by holding off even longer.
